2. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

2.1 Eligibility Criteria

Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years and over, except:

  • Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families
  • Suppliers directly connected with this promotion and their immediate families

Immediate family includes spouse, de facto partner, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, grandchild, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew (whether natural, adopted, step, or in-law relationships).

2.2 Entry Limits

  • Multiple entries permitted per person through separate qualifying purchases
  • Maximum 10 entries per person during the Promotion Period
  • One entry per household may win a prize

2.3 Qualifying Purchase Requirements

To enter, eligible persons must:

  1. Make a purchase of $65.00 or more (inclusive of GST) at participating retailers within Smithfield Shopping Centre during the Promotion Period
  2. Locate and scan the official promotion QR code
  3. Complete the digital entry form with all required information
  4. Upload purchase receipt(s) as proof of purchase
  5. Receive electronic confirmation of entry

2.4 Receipt Combination Rules

  • Maximum two (2) receipts from separate participating retailers may be combined per single entry attempt to reach the $65.00 minimum
  • All receipts must be dated within the Promotion Period
  • Original receipts must be retained and may be requested for verification

2.5 Participating and Excluded Retailers

Participating: All tenants within Smithfield Shopping Centre except those listed below
Excluded: Banks, financial institutions, government agencies, bill payments, layby payments, and deposits

3. PRIZE INFORMATION

3.1 Complete Prize Breakdown

Total Prize Pool Value: $12,500 (inclusive of GST)

Grand Prize (1st Place): $10,000 travel voucher issued by Flight Centre Smithfield

  • Valid for 3 years from date of issue
  • Subject to travel provider’s standard terms and conditions
  • Winner responsible for additional costs, taxes, or charges

Runner-up Prizes:

3.2 Prize Conditions

  • Non-transferable: Prizes cannot be transferred to another person
  • Non-exchangeable: Prizes cannot be exchanged for different items
  • No cash alternative: Prizes cannot be taken as cash equivalent
  • Non-replaceable: Prizes are not replaceable if lost, stolen, or damaged
  • Tax responsibility: Winners responsible for any applicable taxes
  • GST inclusive: All prize values include GST where applicable

3.3 Prize Substitution Rights

The Promoter may substitute prizes of equal or greater value if original prizes become unavailable, with reasonable notice to affected winners where practical.

4. ENTRY PROCESS AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT

4.1 Digital Entry Process

QR Code Access:

  • Official QR codes located at participating retailer checkout areas and designated promotional displays
  • QR codes link directly to the official entry portal
  • Only entries through official QR codes accepted

Online Entry Form Requirements:

  • All mandatory fields must be completed accurately
  • Valid Australian mobile phone number required
  • Valid email address required for confirmations
  • Australian residential postcode required for eligibility verification
  • Age verification (18+ years) required

4.2 Entry Confirmation

  • Automated confirmation: Successful entries receive email confirmation within 24 hours
  • Retention advised: Entrants should retain confirmation emails

4.3 Technical Support and Alternative Entry Methods

Technical Issues:

  • Promoter not responsible for technical failures, network congestion, or incomplete entries due to technical issues
  • Data charges responsibility of participant

Customer Support Available:

  • Location: Customer Service Desk, Smithfield Shopping Centre
  • Hours: Monday-Saturday, 9:00am-3:00pm during Promotion Period
  • Services: QR code scanning assistance, entry form completion help
  • Alternative entry: Available at Customer Service discretion for ongoing technical difficulties
  • Requirement: All assisted entries must meet standard eligibility requirements

5. SELECTION PROCESS AND FINALE EVENT

5.1 Finalist Selection Process

Random Draw:

  • Ten (10) finalists randomly selected from all eligible entries
  • Draw conducted Tuesday, 7 October 2025 at 1:00pm AEST
  • Independent person appointed by Promoter conducts draw
  • Computer-generated random selection method used

5.2 Finalist Notification Procedure

Contact Method:

  • Finalists contacted by telephone first, followed by email
  • Up to three (3) contact attempts made using entry details provided
  • Must be contactable by Wednesday, 8 October 2025 at 5:00pm AEST
  • Alternate drawn if selected finalist cannot be contacted or declines

Confirmation Requirements:

  • Finalists must confirm attendance by Thursday, 9 October 2025 at 12:00pm AEST
  • Valid photo identification required for verification
  • Proof of purchase may be requested
  • Failure to confirm results in disqualification

5.3 Big Baggage Claim Finale Event

Event Details:

  • Date: Friday, 10 October 2025 at 11:00am AEST
  • Location: Smithfield Shopping Centre (near Kmart)
  • Arrival: Finalists must arrive by 10:45am for event briefing
  • Format: Ten sealed suitcases, each containing one prize
  • Selection: Each finalist selects and unlocks one suitcase
  • Guarantee: All finalists receive a prize – no blank suitcases

Attendance Requirements:

  • Personal attendance preferred – proxies permitted by arrangement
  • Valid photo ID required for verification
  • Non-attendance results in prize forfeiture with no substitute awarded

Force Majeure Contingency: If the finale event cannot proceed due to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control (including but not limited to public health orders, natural disasters, or venue unavailability), the Promoter reserves the right to conduct an alternative prize distribution method with advance notice to finalists.

6. LEGAL CONDITIONS AND LIABILITY

6.1 Verification and Compliance

Promoter Rights:

  • Right to verify all entries, receipts, and participant eligibility at any time
  • Right to request additional proof of purchase and identity
  • Right to disqualify fraudulent, altered, or non-compliant entries
  • All Promoter decisions are final and binding

Disqualification Grounds:

  • Providing false or misleading information
  • Tampering with entry process, QR codes, or promotion materials
  • Failure to comply with these terms and conditions
  • Inappropriate conduct during promotion or finale event
  • Breach of any applicable laws

6.2 Liability Limitations

Promoter Liability: Subject to Australian Consumer Law and other applicable legislation, the Promoter’s liability is limited to re-supplying promotional services. The Promoter excludes all liability for any loss or damage arising from participation in this promotion, except where such exclusion is prohibited by law.

Participant Responsibility:

  • Participants enter at their own risk and expense
  • Participants responsible for their own internet and data charges
  • Participants indemnify Promoter against claims arising from their participation

Australian Consumer Law: Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer rights under Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation where such exclusion would be prohibited.

6.3 Modification and Cancellation Rights

The Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel this promotion at any time due to circumstances beyond reasonable control. Changes will be communicated via centre signage, website, and social media where reasonably practical, with reasonable notice where possible.

6.4 Dispute Resolution

Governing Law: These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia
Jurisdiction: Queensland courts have exclusive jurisdiction
Resolution Process: Disputes should first be directed to the Promoter’s customer service team
Consumer Rights: Nothing in this clause affects statutory consumer rights under Australian Consumer Law

7. PRIVACY AND DATA HANDLING

7.1 Information Collection

Personal information collected includes:

  • Full name, email address, mobile phone number
  • Age verification and residential postcode
  • Purchase data for entry validation purposes
  • Images/footage if attending finale event

7.2 Information Use and Disclosure

Primary Purposes:

  • Promotion administration and finalist selection
  • Prize fulfillment and winner verification
  • Legal compliance and fraud prevention

Secondary Uses (with consent):

  • Marketing communications about centre promotions
  • Winner publicity and promotional materials

Third Party Disclosure: Information may be shared with prize suppliers for prize fulfillment and legal/regulatory authorities as required by law.

7.3 Privacy Rights and Retention

Data Retention: Personal information retained for 7 years from promotion conclusion

8.1 Queensland Gaming Regulation Compliance

This promotion is conducted in accordance with Queensland consumer protection legislation. With a total prize pool value of $12,500 and purchase-based entry requirements, no gaming permit is required under Queensland Gaming Machine Regulation 2002.

8.2 Australian Consumer Law Compliance

This promotion complies with Australian Consumer Law requirements including fair trading practices, accurate prize descriptions, and consumer rights protection.

10. DEFINITIONS

“Eligible Entry”: An entry that meets all requirements in Section 2
“Finale Event”: The Big Baggage Claim event on 10 October 2025
“Participating Retailer”: Any retailer within Smithfield Shopping Centre except those excluded in Section 2.5
“Promoter”: Smithfield Shopping Centre Pty Ltd
“Promotion Period”: 20 September 2025 to 5 October 2025 inclusive
“Qualifying Purchase”: A purchase of $65+ at participating retailers during the Promotion Period
